A wonderful Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring crafted in 18ct gold and platinum. Hallmarked for 18ct gold.
The sapphires are a wonderful rich blue and are well saturated with no chips or abrasions. Two small rose cut diamonds flank each side of the largest central sapphire measuring 4.25mm x 3.5mm (approx 0.3ct).
Band in excellent condition, with no signs of previous resize.

Sapphire is the birthstone for the month of September. It is a precious gemstone and is part of the mineral corundum. Sapphire is known for its incredible lustre and stunning blue colour. The term sapphire can also be used to define any other coloured corundum as long as the colour is also noted, the one exception is ruby, which has its own name.
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and are also the birthstone for the month of April. The name diamond comes from the ancient Greek meaning ‘unconquerable’. Diamonds are the hardest natural substance on earth, made up of nearly 100% carbon and the only thing that will scratch one is another diamond!
