Beautiful antique sapphire and diamond ring crafted in 18ct gold and in a classic flowerhead setting. Sapphire of excellent colour and clarity and is approximately .5ct with measurements of 6x4mm. The band shows no signs of resize and is in wonderful condition.

Sapphire is the birthstone for the month of September. It is a precious gemstone and is part of the mineral corundum. Sapphire is known for its incredible lustre and stunning blue colour. The term sapphire can also be used to define any other coloured corundum as long as the colour is also noted, the one exception is ruby, which has its own name.
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and are also the birthstone for the month of April. The name diamond comes from the ancient Greek meaning ‘unconquerable’. Diamonds are the hardest natural substance on earth, made up of nearly 100% carbon and the only thing that will scratch one is another diamond!
