Description
An absolutely stunning, large and heavy, antique star set opal pendant, crafted in 15ct gold. This pendant is a one of a kind piece and you won’t find another like it. It’s been at some point transformed from a set of cufflinks or collar studs (we don’t know when as did not carry out the alterations) into this beautiful and interesting piece.
It is in absolutely fantastic condition, the opals with a wide range of colours on display.
It is fully hallmarked for 15ct gold, indeed as it is a conversion piece it actually has three separate hallmarks to the back. Date letters for the early Edwardian era of 1901-1904, assayed in Birmingham, with makers mark for G H Johnstone & Co.
Size:
It measures 38mm x 38mm and is 11.7 grams in weight.
