Information about the gems found in this ring:

Turquoise is the birthstone of December (along with tanzanite and zircon). It was one of the first ever gemstones to be mined and has long been prized for its intense and beautiful colour. Although turquoise is a widely available stone, it is rarely found in its pure, natural form.

Pearl, along with alexandrite is the birthstone for June. Pearls come in a range of colours and sizes, indeed the colours  are caused by the inside colour of the shell it is formed in. They are formed by living organisms within the soft tissue layer of molluscs. Pearls are the only gemstone to come from a living creature!

Amethyst is the birthstone for February. It is a variety of quartz and has a striking purple colour. The spiritual meaning of Amethyst is groundedness, tranquility, and calm. The literal meaning of Amethyst is “not intoxicated” as its name translates from the Greek word améthystos. Amethyst was often worn for protection.
