Beautiful Art Deco garnet négligée necklace, crafted in 9ct gold, complete with original bar-link gold chain and secure with barrel clasp. Lovely circular shape to the pendant, with 5 small garnets to accentuate it.

Chain length is 44cm end to end. Pendant drop 3.5cm and 1.7cm at widest point.
What are négligée necklaces?
It’s an odd name for a necklace, so what does it mean? A négligée is a necklace of fine links with two parallel pendants that are suspended at different lengths, asymmetrically. This necklace came into fashion around 1900 and was a very popular style throughout the Art Deco era.
