Shamrocks in Edwardian Jewellery

Shamrocks were a popular motif in the Edwardian era and have long been a symbol of the Holy Trinity, one leaf for the Father, one for the Son and one for the Holy Spirit.

Information about the gems in this bracelet

Pearl, along with alexandrite is the birthstone for June. Pearl gemstones come in a range of colours and sizes. The colours of pearls are caused by the inside colour of the shell it is formed in.They are formed by living organisms within the soft tissue layer of molluscs – pearls are the only gemstone to come from a living creature!

Turquoise is the birthstone of December (along with tanzanite and zircon). It was one of the first ever gemstones to be mined and has long been prized for its intense and beautiful colour. Although turquoise is a widely available stone, it is rarely found in its pure, natural form.
