Split pearls do have slight discolouration, the turquoise are a lovely bright robins egg blue.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December (along with tanzanite and zircon). It was one of the first ever gemstones to be mined and has long been prized for its intense and beautiful colour. Although turquoise is a widely available stone, it is rarely found in its pure, natural form.
