Description
A really sweet Victorian buckle ring in 9ct gold. This lovely example has engraving all the way round the band and has an open section where once some hairwork would have been present. The open section can be used one more to put in either a strip of contrasting metal, hairwork or material.
Buckle rings were often used as remembrance jewellery and to offer strength and connection to those loved and lost.
This is in good condition, with some signs of tarnish. It has been thoroughly cleaned to ensure the next insert (if desired) can be put in with ease.
Date letter is a little rubbed, but we believe it to be for 1861.
