Beautiful Victorian flower pendant modelled in 15ct gold and in the shape of a daisy with textured detailing and accentuated with a single pearl. This pendant is in absolutely wonderful condition and is ready to wear. Hallmarked for 15ct gold.
Flowers have often been used for important symbolic reasons throughout the eras and the Victorian era was no different.
In the Victorian era, flowers were primarily used to deliver messages that couldn’t be spoken aloud. In a sort of silent dialogue, flowers could be used to answer “yes” or “no” questions. A “yes” answer came in the form of flowers handed over with the right hand; if the left hand was used, the answer was “no.”

Pearl, along with alexandrite is the birthstone for June. Pearl gemstones come in a range of colours and sizes. They are formed by living organisms within the soft tissue layer of molluscs – pearls are the only gemstone to come from a living creature! The colours of pearls are caused by the inside colour of the shell it is formed in.
