Description
An absolutely beautiful Victorian 15ct gold locket, which holds a lovely original mirror inside, complete with 9ct gold chain. The lozenge shaped locket is rare, we often find circular, square, hexagonal and rectangular lockets, but not lozenge shaped ones. It has been engraved beautifully with floral detail to one side and is blank on the other.
The original mirror inside adds to its rarity. These are often either missing, chipped or were not part of the design in the first place, so having this in tact makes it very special indeed.
Please note the locket is not marked for 15ct gold, but has been electronically tested. The chain is hallmarked 9ct gold.
In excellent antique condition.

Locket is 33mm long, chain is 50cm in length.
