Description
An absolutely beautiful and unique Victorian sapphire and diamond flower ring, crafted in 18ct gold. Diamonds are bright and sparkly and the sapphires are in good condition. It should be noted there is variation in the colour of the sapphires. There is engraved scroll-work to the shoulders.
Band in good condition, tapered at back.
Please do note, although marked for 18ct gold, there is no assay office or date stamp, so the ring has been evaluated as late Victorian due to it’s style and cut of stones.

Sapphire is the birthstone for the month of September. It is a precious gemstone and is part of the mineral corundum. Sapphire is known for its incredible lustre and stunning blue colour. The term sapphire can also be used to define any other coloured corundum as long as the colour is also noted, the one exception is ruby, which has its own name.
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and are also the birthstone for the month of April. The name diamond comes from the ancient Greek meaning ‘unconquerable’. Diamonds are the hardest natural substance on earth, made up of nearly 100% carbon and the only thing that will scratch one is another diamond!
