Information about the gems found in this ring:
Diamonds are a girl’s best friend and are also the birthstone for the month of April. The name diamond comes from the ancient Greek meaning ‘unconquerable’. Diamonds are the hardest natural substance on earth, made up of nearly 100% carbon and the only thing that will scratch one is another diamond!
Garnet is the birthstone of January. It is a very popular gemstone and was a favourite gemstone of Victorian royalty, ancient Egyptian Pharaohs and the Roman Elite. It is the most well-known dark red gemstone but it also comes in a variety of colours and most garnets are untreated.
