More information about the gems found in this ring
Pearl, along with alexandrite is the birthstone for June. Pearls come in a range of colours and sizes, the colour coming from the shell they were formed in. They are formed by living organisms within the soft tissue layer of molluscs and they are the only gemstone to come from a living creature!
Garnet is the birthstone of January. It is a very popular gemstone and was a favourite of Victorian royalty, ancient Egyptian Pharaohs and the Roman Elite. It is the most well-known dark red gemstone but it also comes in a variety of colours and most garnets are untreated.
