Turquoise is the birthstone of December (along with tanzanite and zircon). It was one of the first ever gemstones to be mined and has long been prized for its intense and beautiful colour. It’s not hard to see why as looking at turquoise jewellery can often transport you to a far away beach.

Diamonds are the birthstone for the month of April. The name diamond comes from the ancient Greek word ‘adamas’ meaning ‘unconquerable’ and there is good reason for this!
