Absolutely beautiful 9ct gold antique citrine ring, with wonderful flower shoulders. Hallmarked 9ct gold, other hallmarks faded through age and wear. Style of ring appears to be Art Nouveau, but please note apart from the 9ct gold hallmarks the others are not readable through wear.

Citrine is usually a pale yellow to golden orange colour and gets this colour from traces of iron. It is a rare gemstone in its natural state – many commercial citrine gemstones are heat treated amethyst or smoky quartz which usually gives a reddish colour. The citrine found in this ring is natural.
